Ottumwa, IA - The
work has begun to prepare Ottumwa to host the 13-year-old Babe Ruth World
Series this upcoming summer. Part of that work includes raising funds for the
tournament. The first official 13-yard-old Babe Ruth World Series fundraiser
was held with "Swing for the Series" golf outing and 19th hole event
held at Courtside Bar and Grill. Several people showed up for both, paying to
be part of the golf outing or spending money on items that were auctioned off
afterwards at Courtside. All funds will go toward paying for the expenses that
