parishioners at the event, which takes place from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sept. 6 in

Downs Syndrome Baby gets Fundraising Dollars for Heart Surgery
Colorado Springs, CO
-- Dutch Bros. Coffee will be holding a fundraising event called Love for Luna at
all four Colorado Springs locations. It's all to help raise money for a family
in Colorado Springs. Luna, the rock
star, as her family would call her, was born with Down syndrome and a heart
condition that required surgery. "She had a heart condition called
atrioventricular heart canal defect," Jessica DePoy, Luna's mom, said.
"Where her heart didn’t form normally and it didn’t have separate chambers
so all of her blood mixed together. Luna had surgery in July to help fix her heart
defect. But with a serious illness also comes big bills, lots of doctors’
appointments and time off from work”…and so the fundraising event was born. www.fundraising-ideas.org
