Empty Bowls Fundraiser

Asheville, NC – The Dr. John Wilson Community Garden is excited to begin fundraising for an outdoor kitchen facility! An Empty Bowls events guests select a hand-made bowl from among the unique bowls thrown just for this event, and have a simple meal of soup and bread. You get to keep the bowl and take it home as a reminder that someone's bowl is always empty. At the Empty Bowls fundraiser tours were available, and attendees could learn about the exciting projects the garden has underway - from the fruit and nut trees to the mushroom forest, not to mention the fun things people are growing in their plots. They also got to hear about projects in the works (including the outdoor kitchen). Tickets for the fundraiser were $25 each.  www.fundraising-ideas.org
