Marcellus, NY - Between the blaring horns, police sirens and, of course, the
huge trucks, Skaneateles Nursery School's "Big Trucks" fundraiser
lived up to its name. Spread throughout a large area of the quarry were a
number of trucks, vehicles and haulers, their time donated by a number of
owners and organizations including a New York State Police SUV, a fire truck
from the Auburn Fire Department and even a trolley from Big D's Limo Service in
Auburn. Children, nursery school students or otherwise, were invited on a
guided tour inside of the trucks, allowed to blare the horns, turn the steering
wheel - most anything short of actually driving them. www.fundraising-ideas.org
