Waynesboro,
PA— A Waynesboro jazz singer, who has recorded two albums and has two more on
the way will be singing Saturday night at a nearly sold-out fundraising event
for the Alexander Hamilton Memorial Free Library at the Waynesboro Country Club
and again from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday on the Waynesboro square as part of the final
weekend of this year’s Destination ARTS! Two appearances the same weekend is no
hardship for Kerensa Gray, who made the crossover from gospel to jazz five
years ago. The classically trained violinist, vocalist and songwriter is
developing quite a following in the Mid-Atlantic region with regular
appearances in Rehoboth Beach, Del., and Washington, D.C. Her voice and rich
style have been compared to that of Etta James, Ella Fitzgerald and Diana
Krall. www.fundraising-ideas.org
