"Purple Bowling" Fundraiser to Prevent Domestic Violence

Burnsville, MN - A Burnsville High School student's "Purple Bowling" Fundraiser for domestic violence awareness in memory of her friend and math tutor, Anarae Schunk, has already raised $2,000 according to the fundraising page on GoFundMe.  The amount is just $800 short of the fundraising goal of $2,800.  Miya Wawracz-Harms, a junior, organized the fundraiser as part of a project in her social studies class. Proceeds from the fundraiser, minus expenses, will benefit Cornerstone, an organization working toward the prevention of domestic violence. Schunk was found dead at the end of September after she was last seen on video surveillance with an ex-boyfriend later charged with murder in another incident.  www.fundraising-ideas.org
