March Madness Fundraiser a Success

Chicago Heights, IL - Marian Catholic High School’s annual Marian Madness fundraising event raised more than $50,000 for the Chicago Heights school’s athletic teams and the Marian Alumni Association, according to a press release from the school.  The event is the school’s largest fundraiser for a number of teams. “The excitement in the room is great but everyone is there for a purpose,” boys basketball coach and assistant athletic director Mike Taylor said in the release. “People know that while having fun they really are helping out our teams both small and large. The event supports everything from men’s basketball to fencing. It’s one of those community events that brings people together.” More than 450 people filled the Leadership Center on April 5, bringing alums, parents, parents of former students and friends together, the release said. The event, which coincides with the NCAA Final Four basketball games, included a silent auction, games and refreshments.  www.fundraisingweb.org
