Hundreds Attend Fundraising Event for Girl with Rare Brain Condition

Hevingham, Norfolk, UK - The mother of a Norfolk girl, who has a rare brain condition, spoke of her delight after hundreds of people attended a fundraising event to pay for her latest treatment abroad. Ella-Grace Honeyman, from Hevingham, was diagnosed with the life-threatening Vein of Galen Malformation just four days before her first birthday in June 2008. The seven-year-old celebrated her birthday at the weekend with an event to help pay for her latest surgery in America.  Her mother Laura said the fundraising event at Sprowston Sports and Social Club today would go a long way to help raise the remaining funds needed for her eighth operation. The fundraiser included entertainment from Charlie Cheesecake and Stevie Spud, singing, and baton twirlers. And there was a host of sports including a football tournament and pool and darts competitions.  www.fundraising-ideas.org
