Viking Goals Help Drive One Man's Fundraising Efforts

Melbourne, Australia If only he had managed to fundraise $1 million for the multiple sclerosis (MS) organization, Matthew Curran was ready to find a Viking ship and take a crew to plunder the Tasmanian town of Lindisfarne.   Not that he has anything against the good folk of Lindisfarne, but it’s always helpful to set goals when trying to achieve big tasks.  As it is, Mr Curran managed to raise $900 and will tackle tomorrow’s 10km annual MS Walk and Fun Run dressed as a Viking, including full chain mail. Mr Curran said while the dress-up theme appealed to his love of history, fun and all things Viking, he was driven by a more serious commitment to raise money for research into MS, a neurological condition, which has impacted generations of his family.  www.fundraising-ideas.org
