enthusiasts and aficionados of the area’s pizza tradition poured into a
Scranton bar Sunday evening to support and fundraise for a proposed documentary
featuring the cultural role of pizza in Northeast Pennsylvania. The brainchild of four Scranton-area natives,
“Tray: A Cut of Culture” highlights the region’s unique pizza style and aims to
show how pizza and culture are inexorably linked in NEPA. Sunday’s fundraising effort — held at the
Backyard Ale House on Linden Street — aimed to curtail the production and
post-production costs of making the film, with a portion of the night’s
