The Gathering Place held its 16th annual Race for the Place Fundraising Event Surpassing their goal of $395,000 by raising
$406,251 (and counting), the race represented the most successful fundraising
event in the organization's history. Ever
since opening its doors in 2000, The Gathering Place has offered programs to
provide social, physical, emotional, and spiritual support to those touched by
cancer. Held at Beachwood Mall, the 5k and 1 mile race gave members of the
community and those who had been touched by The Gathering Place a chance to
