Oneonta Students Get Sponsors for OCCS Games Fundraising Event

Oneonta, NY - The approximately 70 students of Oneonta Community Christian School and various OCCS administrators, friends and family gathered Friday morning in Oneonta’s Neahwa Park for the return of the OCCS Games Fundraiser.  OCCS principal David Pritchard explained, “OCCS Games is a fundraising event that engages children to go out and seek sponsors.”  The students, spanning pre-kindergarten to 12th grade, obtained per-lap, per-shot and per-match pledges from area businesses and individuals before the non-competitive games. Pritchard said the children would be biking, running, scoring soccer goals and shooting baskets throughout the day, which was expected to conclude shortly after noon with a barbecue.  www.fundraising-ideas.org
