Salisbury, NC — “Bushido” is a way of life and a code
of honor. In feudal Japan, the samurai followed this code much as knights in
the West followed rules of chivalry. One
of the virtues of Bushido is benevolence, and at the 2013 Godstock Bushido
Warrior fundraiser, the benevolence of many locals made itself felt. The event at First Baptist Church event
center featured special guests and some 120 competitors of all ages from area
martial arts schools. Organizers Ricky
and Randy Smith of Sidekick Karate in Salisbury said the event was a success. Proceeds benefit Godstock, the charity
