RCMP "Cram the Cruiser" Fundraising Event

Lake Country, BC - The Lake Country RCMP hosted their second Annual “Cram the Cruiser” fundraising event Saturday, and report that it was a tremendous success. A total of 1,928 pounds of donated items were collected. Lake Country Detachment RCMP say that mainly non-perishable food, as well as $2,000 in cash and checks were donated to the Lake Country Food Bank. "We are extremely pleased with our totals this year," says RCMP Cst. Jesse O'Donaghey. “To everyone who braved the cold weather and came out to donate to the Lake Country Food Bank, thank-you for helping us make a difference." Regular and auxiliary members of the RCMP, along with RCMP volunteers were on location in marked police vehicles all day Saturday inviting the public to “Cram the Cruiser” with non-perishable food donations. Last year they collected 1,260 pounds of food and are thrilled to have surpassed that by nearly 700 pounds!  www.fundraising-ideas.org
