In Our Shoes Fundraising Happy Hour Mixer and Auction

Charleston, WV -- A non-profit group is hosting a fundraiser Thursday to help raise funds for local kids.  Money raised from the fundraiser "In Our Shoes," put on by PRO-Kids, Inc., will go to benefit children of Piedmont Elementary.  PRO-Kids is a non-profit organization nurtures 50 children each afternoon from 2 to 5 p.m.  The corporation offers homework assistance, tutoring, structured enrichment activities, a hot balanced meal and a ride home.  The services are free for the parents, who often can't afford child care.  This year's annual event is a Happy Hour mixer at Chef Ayman of Aladdin on Thursday. The restaurant will prepare heavy hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar will be open. A silent auction boasting numerous items, some as plush as Greenbrier vacation packages, runs to 7 p.m.  www.fundraising-ideas.org
