Lancaster, PA -- A fundraising event that's grown by leaps and
bounds in its short history starts tonight at midnight; The Extraordinary Give
aims to connect donors with nonprofits, with lots of events throughout the day
tomorrow. It's a 24-hour marathon of
giving, with 367 organizations participating in the event run by the Lancaster
County Community Foundation. In just
three years, it's gone from raising about $1.7 million to nearly $4.5 million. Organizers expect to beat the $5 million mark
