Run Amuck is coming. The charity
fundraiser, organized by Rotary Club of New Plymouth North, where people race
through the mud at Urenui Beach Domain is happening on Sunday. In the five years it's operated, the event
has raised about $90,000 for various charities including Coastguard Taranaki,
Taranaki Rescue Helicopter Trust, Surf Lifesaving Taranaki and Taranaki Search
& Rescue. This year Coastguard Taranaki
is again the major beneficiary. During
the event competitors run over a five-kilometer course along the beach, over
and under obstacles, up banks, through farmlands and swamps, up rope ladders
