East Peoria, IL — Church
Veggies, sponsored by East Peoria Faith United Methodist Church, is selling
locally grown vegetables for $1 or in exchange for donations of shoes and
non-perishable food at the church vegetable stan. Hours of operation are 4 to 6
p.m. Monday-Friday and 8 a.m. to noon Saturdays. The money earned will help
expand the garden. Shoes donated through the month of August will help with
water provision, sanitation and education in other countries through the Water
Step program. Non-perishable food donations will go to the local food pantry at
