Dogs Get to Cool Off and Local Shelter Gets Fundraising Dollars

Secaucus, NJ - Hot weather and a good cause drew dozens of Secaucus dog owners to the town pool today to let their pets splash around in an annual fundraising event.  For a $10 donation to the Secaucus Animal Shelter, residents were able to give their canines the treat of frolicking in the town's kiddie pool before it's drained and prepped for the winter.  "This event is great. It's the way we close the pool. I couldn't think of a better way to close it," Secaucus Mayor Mike Gonnelli said as wet dogs ran hither and thither around him.  www.fundraising-ideas.org
