Fundraiser Teaches How Backyard Gardeners Can Help with Hunger Relief

Joliet, IL – Northern Illinois Food Bank’s executive women’s council is inviting people to learn about gardening and support hunger relief at a fundraising event.   At the event called A Cup of Hope on March 5, Nancy Hatmaker Ristau will speak about her experiences in attracting wildlife, including butterflies, to her backyard garden.   During the event, people also will be able to share in gardening passions, mingle with friends and raise funds to help feed the hungry in the communities the Northern Illinois Food Bank serves, according to the organization’s news release.   www.fundraising-ideas.org
