Test Your Dog Out for Therapy Duties at Fundraising Event

Coconut Creek, FL - Therapy dogs go places. You'll find them in counseling sessions with troubled veterans, in courtrooms where nervous children must go before a judge, in nursing homes where they cuddle with lonely residents.  You can support their work -- and find out if your pooch has the right stuff to be a therapy dog -- at the first ever PUP Strut walk in Coconut Creek.  The fundraiser is for Canine Assisted Therapy Inc., or CAT. The nonprofit provides trained therapy dog teams at no charge to more than 60 healthcare facilities, schools, veterans groups and other organizations in Broward, Palm Beach and Miami-Dade counties.  www.fundraising-ideas.org
