Twin Falls, ID - The Twin Falls Rotary Club held its 13th annual 'Death by
Chocolate' fundraiser at the Canyon Crest Event Center. People pay a
cover-charge to come and sample chocolate treats from 25 different vendors.
They then vote on their favorites. The whole thing is a fundraiser for the Twin
Falls Rotary Club. "I think it's your civic duty co come out and eat
chocolate for charity," laughed Jill Skeem, the chairperson of the
fundraiser. The fundraiser usually brings in at least $30,000 for the charity.
The different vendors don't charge for the food or pay to be a part of it. The
vendors competed in five categories: cake, candy, cookie, brownie and unique desert.
Several high schools also competed against each other and the professional
bakers. www.fundraising-ideas.org
