A Fundraiser to Help Folks Stay Warm

Searsmont, ME - A fundraiser to help folks in Waldo County stay warm this winter was held today in Searsmont.  "This is lovely because it such an easy way to involve members of the community so that they can give back," said Erin Herbig of Belfast. "Not just through a monetary donation but also threw actually making the delivery or splitting the wood themselves."  Hundreds of folks came out to Searsmont Sunday to support those in need this winter. The benefit, hosted by the Waldo County Woodshed provides firewood for short term heating assistance throughout Waldo County and beyond.  www.fundraising-ideas.org
