Bedfordshire, UK - Gallons of coffee and a
mountain of cake were consumed across Bedfordshire during this year’s Macmillan
coffee morning. The annual fundraising event saw thousands
of pounds pour in to support the cancer charity. In Kempston, Shires Funeral Directors teamed
up with the King William pub to host their event. Donning green wigs and t-shirts, they raised
a grand total of £900.36. Landlady
Joanne Hill said: “The coffee morning went really well and after, the regular
pub customers kept donating throughout the day.
“We hope we can round it up and make a donation of £1,000.” www.fundraising-ideas.org
