Elmhurst, IL - The
Swamp Things will attempt to swim 200 lengths each to earn pledges and
donations for the Elmhurst Swim Team’s first annual Swim-A-Thon. The Swim-A-Thon will take place at the York
Aquatic Center, according to the Elmhurst Swim Team. It is a USA Swimming
approved fundraising event. Swimmers will have two hours to swim a maximum of
200 lengths. Most of the money raised, 95 percent, will stay local within the
club, and 5 percent goes to the USA Swimming Foundation, according to the
Elmhurst Swim Team. Swimmers have forms
for collecting donations on the spot and pledges after the event. Online
