BBQ Eats and Boogie Beats Vintage Fundraising Event

Tarpon Springs, FL — The Tarpon Springs Area Historical Society will turn back the clocks this weekend.  Barbeque Eats and Boogie Beats, a vintage-themed fundraising event, will take place Saturday at the Tarpon Springs Yacht Club.  Featured during the event will be music from Karen Kallin and Bill Castner. The duo will perform a variety of hit songs spanning the 1940s to the 1980s.  “I think it’s going to be fabulous,” said Linda Kolianos, the historial society’s vice president of events. “And the prizes we have in both the auctions are just super good. There’s not tiddlywink stuff there.”  Before or after working up a sweat on the dancefloor, guests will be able to enjoy a spread that includes barbecue ribs, chicken, beans, cole slaw, macaroni and cheese and a salad bar.  www.fundraising-ideas.org
