to a local group of philanthropists and businesses, a new Thanksgiving tradition
is growing on the boards as the Avon Pond is set to host its 3rd Annual Turkey
Trot Fundraising Event. "It's a
community-based event where families, friends and organizations come together
to burn a few calories and have a lot of laughs on Thanksgiving morning before
they set off on their busy holiday schedules," John O'Malley, founder of
the event and Avon Pond, an outdoor ice skating facility located in
Volunteer Park in Avon, said in a news release. Proceeds will benefit the
