– The Jackson YMCA secured $75,000 in pledges at its annual fundraiser for the
Strong Kids, Strong Communities campaign.
A record number of people, more than 300, attended the annual Party for
a Cause on Nov. 3 in a hangar supplied by the Richmond Brothers Inc., financial
consultants with space at the Jackson County Airport. The event featured an actual boxing ring,
speakers who talked of how the Y helped them fight cancer or other concerns, a
band, and a silent auction, which raised nearly $6,000 in addition to the
