Walk for Wisdom Fundraising Event

Mebane, NC — E.M. Yoder Elementary School students are racing for a cause.  The school hosted its first Walk for Wisdom fundraisier on Friday to raise money for library books and solar lights for the Nyarweng Primary School in Ruweng State, South Sudan, as part of their first year as one of the Alamance-Burlington School System’s global schools.  The event kicked off with an Olympics-style opening ceremony, involving a parade of homemade flags for each continent, and continued throughout the day as grade levels took turns racing, running and walking to raise the money their parents, friends and family members pledged per lap.  www.fundraising-ideas.org
