HIgh-flying Fundraising Event in Huntsville

Huntsville, AL -- A slight crosswind coming from behind, full sun and clouds trickling through the bright blue sky. A perfect day for flying at the annual Rocket City Radio Controllers' War Birds fundraising event Saturday at the Captain Trey Wilborn Field. True model aircraft pilot, Brian Cabrera, drove his trailer, filled with various planes and helicopters, from Birmingham to attend this year's event. It's a hobby he's had since he was 11-years old, collecting model airplanes, and spending months building and painting each one. "I've always wanted to fly them ever since I was little," Cabrera said. "When you're building them, you just unplug yourself from reality and dedicate your time to those planes."  And it's that fascination that drives he's unique passion today as he travels all along the Southeast, attending various model aircraft events.  The event was a fundraiser for the Wounded Warrior Project.  www.fundraising-ideas.org
