Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk (England) - The Bury Wacky Races is a fundraising
event, which takes place in the town of Bury St Edmunds. It involves teams taking part in a series of
unusual challenges ranging from a ‘nappy run’ – where contestants wear a water-
soaked nappy on their heads – and an egg and spoon race in the Arc shopping
centre, to a three-legged procession through the town culminating in a
tug-of-war and archery competition at Bury Rugby Club. It was great fun and also had a serious side
of raising money for Suffolk Breakthrough Breast Cancer Group. www.fundraising-ideas.orgThursday, August 8, 2013
