Franklin, TN — With the simple
idea to just start helping people, a group of women from Polk Place
neighborhood has kept up its tradition for 15 years. Five years ago, they added
in a fundraiser, the Holiday Hullabaloo, to raise money for a local charity
each year. A core group of women called Helping Hands and Caring Hearts, led by
84-year-old Toni Themis, raised about $15,000 at last year’s event. This year’s
Hullaballoo, a wacky dinner dance that celebrates every holiday will be held at
St. Philip Catholic Church. Proceeds go
to GraceWorks Ministries. www.fundraising-ideas.orgSunday, September 29, 2013
