16 Restaurants Participate in This Year's Too Hot To Cook Fundraising Event

Longview, TX - Jim Barron says the annual Too Hot to Cook fundraiser always brings in a crowd to his restaurant.  Café Barron's has been participating in the fundraiser that benefits Longview Community Ministries since the event started with half a dozen restaurants, said Barron, who owns the business with his wife, Julia. The one-day fundraiser is aimed at raising money to help the nonprofit group, which operates a food pantry, provides financial assistance and more.  Eighteen restaurants took part in this year's event — one more than in 2014. LCM charged a flat fee to each restaurant that participated.  www.fundraising-ideas.org
