British Heart Foundation's Names Cobham Man One of Top-10 Quirkiest Fundraisers

Cobham, UK - A man from Cobham who gave up wearing pants and saying his first name as part of a three-week challenge has been named as one of the British Heart Foundation’s (BHF) top-10 quirkiest fundraisers.   Alec Rickard, 23, gained the spot as part of the charity’s new Raise Funds Your Way campaign to help fund lifesaving research.  The first-time fundraiser gave up something different every day for three weeks in March, from wearing pants, and using shampoo and knives and forks, to taking selfies and eating bread, crisps and chocolate.  In total 23 everyday tasks were sacrificed, with Alec raising more than £400 for the BHF.  www.fundraising-ideas.org
