Out of Darkness Suicide Prevention Fundraiser Moves to Larger Venue

Saratoga County, NY - For several years, Laura Marx has been watching the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention’s “Out of the Darkness” walks and other fundraising events grow bigger and more common.  In fact, this year Marx, the area director for the Capital Region AFSP group, has had to move the annual Walk for Rita to a larger venue — again.  This year’s Walk for Rita will be at Saratoga County Fairgrounds in Ballston Spa, not at the Saratoga Race Course, and Marx is expecting more than 2,000 walkers and is aiming to raise $240,000.  www.fundraising-ideas.org
