Lake Charles, LA - Today
is World Cat Day, and Lake Area residents had a chance to help out some furry
felines. An adoption event and fundraiser was held at Prien Lake Mall to
benefit Hobo Hotel Cat Shelter. "We're the only no kill shelter for cats
and kittens in Lake Charles. We rescue cats and find forever homes for our
little babies," said Robin Anderson with Hobo Hotel. Representatives from the shelter answered
questions about adopting, donating, and volunteering. Kittens were there
seeking forever homes. Attendees had a chance to meet them, along with
