Holiday Fundraiser for Children's Museum a Big Success

Highland Square, OH — Children and their parents packed the Highland Theatre for the Akron Children’s Museum’s Hands-On Holidays fundraiser over the holidays.. Organizers said several hundred people attended the event, a fundraiser to support the creation of the museum. The fundraiser raised over $16,000, which will go toward opening a pilot site for the museum in the next 12 to 18 months, according to museum officials.  At the Hands-On Holidays event, children played with a life-size Lite Brite, used their imaginations to build castles and towers out of blocks, created elf hats and took “elfie selfies,” and also sang and danced to holiday music.  www.fundraising-ideas.org
