- A new King and Queen of Hearts will be crowned in Long Beach this
Saturday. The charity event, King and
Queen of Hearts Fundraising Contest, invites participants to introduce
themselves to the community, then attendees will vote to crown a King and
Queen. The winners will be announced on February 14. "It is a honorary title bestowed upon
the winners from the Imperial Court of Long Beach," organizers said.
"They are members of the community who have a big 'heart' for Long Beach
and the many non-profits within the community." While one contestant is a drag queen, that is
not a requirement to enter the contest. Contestants can be any member of the
